Genesis 1-2-3

A Christ-centered view of creation

The Gospel According to Genesis

A Christ-centered view of creation

LONGWOOD, FL-After 20 years of studying the first three chapters of Genesis, Dwight Troyer has put his thoughts to paper in Genesis 1 2 & 3, Creation Then & Now (paperback, 978-1-60477-137-4). This book affords new insights into the creation story, with a special emphasis on the role of Jesus.

Troyer's approach to his book is simple: "My hope is that all that read my book will have a better understanding of how and why God created the earth and heavens." Seeing where secularism has seeped into the Christian understanding of creation, Troyer wants to clarify the biblical view.

Second Corinthians 4:4 says, "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God." Troyer uses his book as a tool against the sightlessness of the church, inspiring them to teach a separate view of creation, a vision that is in contrast to the one that is pervasive in our cultures and public schools.

Troyer can look at his own life with objectivity, seeing himself as a Samson who has made many mistakes but been carried along by Jesus. After graduating from Rhema Bible Training Center in 1984, Troyer felt like he was floundering in a series of bad decisions until he began a new path as a Christian author 7 years ago. He sees Jesus' power in every step and as the success after his every failure, and this humility and gratitude comes through clearly in his writing.
