LONGWOOD, FL--After a mid-flight emergency in which his plane was forced to land at Dulles International Airport while en route to Minneapolis, author Tim Harpman came to the realization that someone else was in control of his life--God. Many people from his church had been praying for his safety in the midst of this ordeal, and each of those prayers were answered by God; it took this experience for the author to realize that God had been at work in his life all along. Within the pages of Harpman's new Xulon Press release, Visions ($14.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-570-0), the author reveals things that happen every day--things that he has heard and seen. Every story is true and bears testament to the presence of God in an individual's everyday life.

"This book really isn't about me, although I am certainly in it," he says. "I hope that it will be fun to read, but I also think that--in the end--you'll see that my life is more similar to yours than different. The way that I see and hear God is basically the same way that you do."

Harpman, a resident of Mooresville, North Carolina, says he enjoys the great outdoors, as he believes it is a great place to commune with God. It was during these quiet times alone with God that he received much of the inspiration for this book. "My biggest collaboration was with God," he explains. "I am so thankful He let me listen and see and hopefully learn something along the way."
