New Title Hopes to Be Uncle Tom's Cabin of the Abortion Issue

Author urges Christians to reject genocide through legalized abortion

LONGWOOD, FL-When it comes to the topic of abortion, the statistics are staggering. How many deceptions are being portrayed as fact by pro-choicers? How detrimental has legal abortion become to American culture? How much power does an individual possess to change abortion law if they have a vested interest in it? Xulon author Scott Degelman's new book, Grandpa's Hook (paperback, 978-1-60477-942-4; hardcover, 978-1-60477-943-1), answers all these questions and more. And, says the author, as Uncle Tom's Cabin helped outlaw slavery, so too will Grandpa's Hook--given national attention--help outlaw abortion.

"Purporting happiness in a society which espouses genocide through legal abortion contradicts everything we should hold dear as Christians," says Degelman. "God yearns to see justice on this issue. As slavery was an abomination which elicited judgment on this country, so will abortion, unless changes occur."

A motivational speaker, the author hopes to make a valuable contribution to society with his testimony of firsthand passion regarding the potentiality of outlawed abortion. As the director of a non-profit organization working with troubled youth, he has seen firsthand how detrimental legal abortion has been on the mentality of child-rearing in this country. "This book [has] the same power not only to transform public sentiment, but through a changed societal understanding of abortion's atrocity, abolish its legality," he says.
