During the time when Phillips was undergoing chemotherapy, strangers would frequently stop her and comment on how beautiful her turban-tied scarf looked. She didn’t think too much of it until the women at her support group asked her to show them how she had tied her scarf. “I decided then that an instructional book might be helpful to those of us who have chemotherapy and its unwanted side effects as an ongoing part of our lives,” she explains.
A portion of the proceeds from TIE ONE ON will go to support ovarian cancer awareness, education, advocacy, and research.
