MAITLAND, FL— Trials. Everyone has them in life, but most forget the journey is not just about overcoming the obstacles, but about rediscovering and getting to know God in the process. M. Suzanne Shunk, the author of Trials to Treasures ($11.99, paperback, 978-1-60647-243-9; $19.99, hardcover, 978-1-60647-253-8; $5.99, e-book, 978-1-61904-550-7), points out that every frustrating, stressful or heartbreaking event is actually the Lord’s purpose at work; a perfect creation, a means to an end that will make each person into something more beautiful than they could ever imagine. Most importantly, Shunk’s new book is a journey of hope, encouragement and transformation; each story possesses a Godly wisdom for overcoming trials individuals face in life.

“I want to encourage people who are going through difficult trials, not to give up. I want them to take a fresh look at the real world answers that come from seeking Godly wisdom right in the middle of the storm, no matter how difficult that might seem at the time,” states the author. “Everyone is facing tough times right now and many are looking for an answer beyond themselves. I feel this book leads them to just that: An answer beyond themselves-the awesome power and encouragement of God and Jesus.”

M. Suzanne Shunk grew up in St. Paul, MN. She received a B.S. degree in Electronic Media from Abilene Christian University. She has lived in New York City and Los Angeles since then, working for a Hollywood casting company. Feeling the call of the Lord drawing her closer during a tramatic time, she put her acting career on hold. Shunk began questioning and seeking a greater depth of meaning in her Christian walk. She currently spends her time writing and feels led to begin auditioning again.
