Longwood, FL - RISING TO EVERLASTING LIFE: The Resurrection Texts for both Christians and Jews ($16.99 paperback, ISBN 978-1-61379-720-4) is a compendium of foundational texts that provide support to Jews and Christians regarding the final resurrection. This framework is essential for formulating the end-time scenarios of both religions.

Within the pages of RISING TO EVERLASTING LIFE: The Resurrection Texts for both Christians and Jews, author Teri S. Riddering has collected and analyzed most Biblical and extra-Biblical texts that both Christians and Jews use to base their understanding, faith, and hope regarding the final resurrection of the dead. Riddering states that since both Christians and Jews were given the same promises of bodily resurrection prior to the days of the Messiah and the world to come, how can we help but conclude that we are talking about the same event, and at the same time? Both Jews and Christians can look forward to God’s ultimate fulfillment of His purposes, and our faith in these promises can carry us both over the threshold of mortality to everlasting life.

Riddering believes that both Jews and Christians must analyze and be willing to change some of their present eschatological misconceptions based on early Scripture. Both must understand that no one can enter the Messianic Kingdom without a bodily resurrection, but this is not meant for only one group or the other, because Jesus is God's Messiah for all humankind. In RISING TO EVERLASTING LIFE: The Resurrection Texts for both Christians and Jews, Riddering declares that Jesus, or Yeshua, is the fulfillment of the New Covenant for everyone, as prophesied in Jeremiah 31:31. Nevertheless, Christians need not convert to Judaism, nor should they expect Jews to become "Christianized" according to Gentile traditions, because it is God’s purpose to unite both sister religions into a single new spiritual entity for the climatic event of the final resurrection – together!

Teri S. Riddering finished her MA in Theological Studies at Liberty University of Lynchburg, Virginia, and began her PhD at the University of the Holy Land, Center for the Study of Early Christianity in Jerusalem, Israel. She worked as translator, web manager, and radio producer of educational material in Spanish for Bridges for Peace regarding Jewish-Christian relations since 1997, speaking in Churches in several countries of Latin America. She lived and worked in Jerusalem between 1997-1999 and 2005-2010, learning about Jewish traditions and their worldview, and was an example of Christian love and service to Israel.
