MAITLAND, FL - Experiencing Jesus’ Joy was written to help contemporary Christians understand that suffering on behalf of others under the lordship of Jesus Christ as one introduces others to God and His eternal family brings the greatest possible joy now and for eternity. Christ’s followers’ joy is dependent on loving others through the power of the Holy Spirit. We experience great joy when we see loved ones saved from contemporary and eternal pain and suffering. Although He was faced with the pain and humiliation of the Cross and separation from His Eternal Father for three days in Hades in order to provide salvation for those trusting God, Jesus said that His joy was at its fullest because His suffering was providing salvation for many; Jesus wants all of His followers to experience the same type of joy as they join God in rescuing as many as will listen from the consequences of present sin and future eternal judgment.
Experiencing Jesus’ Joy will help wake many from their slumber and come to the point of realizing that God does not give out passes into Heaven but instead asks everyone to submit to His lordship and join His eternal close-knit holy family as participating members on Earth.
Dr. James B. Joseph would like all to become more grounded in God’s Word and in the process become more aware of the reality of God and His ongoing creation of His eternal close-knit Holy Family. Experiencing Jesus’ Joy helps each of its readers know how they may experience the same type of joy that Jesus’ experienced as they follow Him on their individual and collective journeys of faith.
Dr. James B. Joseph has actively ministered to people in various capacities for over thirty years, including working in a soup kitchen, jail ministry and an assortment of ministries, teaching in Sunday School through teaching in a seminary at the graduate level, and pasturing a church. He was licensed as a minister in 2000 and ordained as a pastor in 2007. As he ministered over the years, God sent him on a path to understand His Word more fully by sending him at various times to three graduate schools to learn Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, and Latin as he studied His Word. In 2004 he earned his Ph.D. in 2004 all in various aspects of biblical studies.
