MAITLAND, FL— One of the claims non-believers and
believers alike, tend to make is that the Bible was written in a different time
and how can those practices possibly apply to their lives now. That is
precisely why Mary Chadwick Wolff wrote Living Scripture ($16.99, paperback,
978-1-61379-800-3). Its main purpose is to portray real life
examples of how various biblical principles can be lived out today and to show
that God is still active in the life of believers with the hopes of prompting
readers to enter into a more dynamic relationship with the Lord. There are
several books on the market that serve as a study of how to live the Christian
life, but this book actually characterizes someone attempting to do so. Both
success and failure in doing so are depicted throughout the story.
“Readers will
hopefully understand that salvation is more than just saying they believe that
Jesus is God,” expresses Wolff. “Our Lord desires that we enter into a
relationship with Him where we love and obey Him. This entails spending time
with God by talking to Him and listening to Him, especially through His word.
Then one should attempt to follow what they believe God is telling them to do
generally and specifically.”
Mary Chadwick
Wolff first gave her heart to the Lord twenty-five years ago and ever since then
she has read several versions of the Bible in their entirety. She has either
written out word for word or summarized on paper each verse of the Amplified
version of the Bible. Wolff holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in
Home Economics Education. She currently resides in the State of Texas.
