MAITLAND, FL— Second chances are the greatest gift life can provide. Within the pages of Marion Collier’s new book, A Matter of Grace ($15.99, paperback, 978-1-61904-446-3; $25.99, hardcover, 978-1-61904-447-0; $7.99, eBook, 978-1-61904-911-6), readers will find a story of Mattie Grace, a tiny dog suffering from deadly mange, starvation, as well as having endured pain, suffering and abuse as a puppy. An old man rescues her from a trash pile and vows to take care of her as if she were a small child. Both the old man and Mattie Grace are carrying with them the pain of their pasts, but together they are able to overcome it and are given a second shot at a fulfilling life. The bond between Mattie Grace and her owner, as well as others will inspire readers.

“When Mattie Grace appeared on the side of a road, an ordinary day blossomed into an extra-ordinary story framed in experiences that can only be deemed as matters of grace,” states Collier. “The story tells about Mattie and the author, how they both walked away from their pasts, met each other and have been blessed along the way. All of us can be inspired by the story of Mattie Grace as the flame of love in her heart was fanned from the embers and ashes of a nearly ruined life. Mattie Grace helped me to dust off many of my life’s memories that had long been off the shelf.”

Marion Collier currently lives on a farm in Louisiana with his wife and several animals. He has spoken to thousands of people as a preacher, teacher, entertainer and motivator. Marion graduated from Mississippi College and holds a Masters degree in Theology from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
