Trainer pens book to incite a radical revival amidst God's modern church

MAITLAND, FL Franklin Trainer’s new book, Provoked ($23.99, paperback, 978-1-61996-991-9; $39.99, hardcover, 978-1-61996-992-6; $9.99, e-book, 978-1-61996-993-3) is filled with a devotional for each day of the year. This book is atypical among the rest; the author did not simply write in a flowery way to lighten the severity of sin. Trainer uses real-life statistics to show the reader the desperate condition the world is in. He encourages and builds up each individual day-by-day.

The book title is an idea derived from 2 Corinthians 9:2, where rebuke and accountability were employed of Paul to ‘provoke’ (motivate) one group of believers through the action of fellow believers to follow through in the giving aspect of their Christian faith,” states the author. “Provoked expands this notion (x 365) to one degree or another for each day’s devotional challenge, and the cause of revival.”

Working for approximately twenty-four years in youth ministry, Franklin Trainer takes seriously the admonition “to teach others also” those eternal truths instilled in him by “faithful men” gone on before (cf. 2 Timothy 2:2). Franklin teaches and preaches regularly in chapel and Sunday morning classes as a staffer at his local church and Christian school; as well as on the radio in the nearby community.
