MAITLAND, FL Within the pages of Laura Mullenix’s new book, The Long Way Home ($11.99, paperback, 978-1-62230-014-3; $19.99, hardcover, 978-1-62230-015-0; $5.99, e-book, 978-1-62230-016-7) readers are given insight into the life of a minister’s wife. The book is mainly targeted to actual wives in ministry; Mullenix presents a heart-felt appeal for women to turn back to their first love, Jesus Christ.

“[The take-away of this book is] I want them to see they are not alone in their experiences as ministers’ wives,” states the author. “Life in the ministry has a way of draining ministry wives while they are serving God. They often are unaware this is happening, until they are burned out or experience something even more serious.”

Laura Mullenix has served in ministry with her husband, Tom, for thirty-five years. They have served with churches and missions in several different capacities. She writes out of personal experience and from her rich background of helping other ministry wives. Laura is Founder and Director of BethNuah Ministries, a ministry to ministers’ wives, which offers support and encouragement. BethNuah was founded in 2005 and has been pivotal and life-changing for many ministry wives. BethNuah Ministries features small, personal spiritual retreats held specifically for ministry wives.
