MAITLAND, FL— The mission of Angela S. Gibson’s new book, The Colors of God ($24.99, paperback, 978-1-62419-478-8; $34.99, hardcover, 978-1-62419-479-5; $9.99, e-book, 978-1-62419-480-1) is to let young people know that no matter what color skin they’re in, they are beautiful. The author expounds “God made us each in his own image and whether they are black or white, yes, they’re skin color is different but each color is as beautiful as the colors in the rainbow.”

“In my own life, I’ve been exposed to many different cultures and races of people and I’ve learned that we have so much in common,” states the author. “I pray that young people will not only learn to love themselves just the way they are and will respect and love others for what they have in common and for their differences.”

Of her expertise, the author expresses “I have written two Christian plays, ‘God Can Turn it Around’… and ‘I Have a Dream’, [the latter] which was written to show young people the struggles of African Americans and how they suffered through many hardships so that they can experience equality. I have worked in Youth Ministry both at my home church for over twenty-five years and as a District Youth President with ‘Church of Christ Written in Heaven’ for five years. I’ve encouraged and motivated inner city youth for many years and pray that I’ve made an impact in their thinking and in their lives.”
