MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Donna Smithey’s new book, Nichisan and the Ancient Ones ($24.99, paperback, 978-1-62419-240-1; $9.99, e-book, 978-1-62419-241-8) readers of all ages will learn to appreciate the beauty in all of God’s creation. Additionally, the author emphasizes that all people should seek and understand God’s purpose for his or her individual life in order to best serve Him.

“I hope both young and old alike would understand that they are children of God and every one of us was given special gifts and/or abilities by our Creator,” states the author. “We should all follow our hearts, diligently seek out those gifts and use them to serve our Lord. As parents and grandparents, we should teach and encourage our children the same things.”

Of her expertise, the author expresses “I am both a daughter and a wife of career Air Force men. I was raised in a Christian family, mostly overseas and better known better as a “TCK” (third culture kid). I was born again and began my relationship with Jesus the summer I turned ten. I married Roger, my husband of almost forty-one years when I was seventeen. He is a Christian, a twenty-year veteran of the Air Force and a southern gentleman. Together we raised two boys and have four grandchildren. I spent most of childhood and adulthood overseas in both Europe and Asia absorbing multiple cultures.”
