MAITLAND, FL— Sue White’s new book, THE DAUGHTERS: EMMA ($15.99, paperback, 978-1-60957-922-7; $7.99, e-book, 978-1-62509-320-2) is a story based on the lives of real people who experienced trials and heartbreak with a faith in God that sustained them. Possibly the best thing to note about this book, is that it is the beginning of a continuing saga, spanning five books. Each book is centered around the life of a woman from a different generation, starting from a great-great grandmother to today’s story, fifth in the series, “THE DAUGHTERS: CASSIE.”

“I hope that readers will gain a realistic sampling of life for that era,” states the author. “1837-1855 America provided opportunity, but also brought great trials and heartache. Folks who lived in faith were able to get through the tragedies that came their way. You will journey through birth, death and life with true events in the lives of three families who helped each other with laughter, love and devotion.”

Sue White is an ordained United Methodist pastor who lives with her husband, John, in San Antonio, Texas. She is the mother of four grown children and eleven fabulous grandchildren. Sue is known in South Texas as a workshop leader, retreat leader, teacher, preacher and all-around servant of the Lord, Jesus Christ.  She has travelled throughout the world to deliver the Gospel message of faith and life and will probably never retire. “THE DAUGHTERS: EMMA” and the four books to follow in the series are based on White’s family history, the research of their lives and the times in which they lived.
