historical narrative of Watchman Nee and Shanghai Local Church (S.C.A.) with
personal experience and exploration from Dr. Hsu. The book focuses on Nee’s

During 1947-1956, around the period of the regime change to communism, Lily Hsu was much involved at S.C.A. activities and experienced the political turmoil of the church. She attended series of Nee’s special meetings, his trial in 1956, with her first-hand testimonies. She was born in China, coming to US in 1981 and practiced as a pediatric neurologist in Baton Rouge, LA in 1989-2006. Mr. Dana Roberts is a recognized authority on the doctrines of the Local Church and lived in China for many years. He has interviewed members of S.C.A. still living in Shanghai.
