MAITLAND, FL— Susan Van Loon’s new book, Riches to Rags ($15.99, paperback, 978-1-62419-786-4; $7.99, e-book, 978-1-62419-787-1) is a story of unconditional love, sacrifices for family, forgiveness, redemption and the belief that God will bring anyone through all hardships if they put their trust in Him. The author will undoubtedly touch readers’ hearts as she details her own family’s “rollercoaster ride” from wealth to extreme poverty, surviving a ruthless war and so much more. Van Loon’s book inspires her audience not to give up.

“There are so many messages in the book: living under communism versus free enterprise, forgiveness, hard work versus laziness, respect, mental illnesses and heartaches, overcoming challenges, healing physically and emotionally, how faith can bring you through the worst times, and most of all, unconditional love.” states the author.

Of her expertise, the author expresses: “The one and only thing that makes me an authority about events in this book, is that it is a true story, and I have lived through most of it. My mother, the main character, gave me her stories and events that happened before I was born, in her handwritten notes and through interviews. Her brother, who is also one of the characters in the book gives adventure and humor to the story, which all came from him directly. A lot of research went into the political and historic parts, and also a few mental illnesses.”
