MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Rhonda Tommer’s new book, Eighty Days of Faith ($10.99, paperback, 9781625099426; $5.99, e-book, 9781625099433) is the author’s story of giving birth to a premature baby, who lives in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for eighty days. The author shares that her faith in God was stretched and increased during this time. Tommer shares the complex challenges that she faced as the mother of a premature baby.

“In today’s world, it seems that sometimes we have no hope in the situation we are in,” states the author. “Whether it is an illness, divorce, loss of a loved one, financial—whatever the circumstances might be. My message is one of hope. We have hope in a loving God and Savior. I think we all need to know that during these trying times.”

Rhonda Tommer is married and the mother of two adult children, currently living in Southern Utah. Her authority on this particular subject is that she is the mom of a very successful young man who started out his life thirteen weeks premature and weighing only two pounds, six ounces. She has also volunteered as a parent peer at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. Her husband and she coordinated the in-house parent support group for a period of time.
