MAITLAND, FL— In his new book, America Is Calling ($15.99, paperback, 9781628390490; $7.99, e-book, 9781628390513) Philip Staggs addresses specific responsibilities that believers carry as U.S. citizens, especially when taking the initiative to vote. In heeding these instructions, according to the author, “we sustain America as a Republic, strengthen families and follow the higher laws of God.”

“[My hope is that readers] come to the awareness of America’s exceptionalism guided by providence, the family as our foundation to achieving our greatest as a nation, and the proper role and responsibilities of being a citizen of America,” states the author.

Philip Staggs was born in California and graduated from Whittier College with a BS degree in Education. After college, Phil spent time in the U.S. Army with intentions of making a career in the military until he meet a young lady by the name of Sandra Lynne Moorhead. She became his wife for the following forty-one years. Sandra and Phil are the proud parents of three sons and seven daughters and twenty-three grandchildren. Currently, Phil is retired with the desire to write about a country he loves so much and that is the driving reason for “America Is Calling.”
