MAITLAND, FL— In her new book, BEYOND THE DOOR ($13.99, paperback, 9781628392623; $6.99, e-book, 9781628392630) Marta VanGerwen shares that the “key” is found in the midst of pain—a loving Savior is encountered there. Despite painful times, God is able to provide healing, restoration, hope and calls forth each individual’s destiny, in generous measure.

“We are living in difficult times where encouragement and hope is greatly needed,” states the author. “I hope readers are left with a deep sense that God longs to communicate with them, and to heal broken hearts. That no matter what has taken place in their life God can truly work all things out for their good. God’s love runs deeper than what our eyes can see.”

Marta VanGerwen was born in Havana, Cuba and now resides in Elk Grove, California. She learned at a very young age that life came with both joy and heartache. Her journey began in Cuba during the Communist take-over of Fidel Castro. She experienced difficult and painful situations before she could even spell her name. It was from those early seasons of great struggle that her heart set out on a journey to find the key: the answer… the remedy for her broken and shattered heart. Marta has a passion to pen words that provide encouragement and hope, and to point others to a faithful God who desires to have a relationship with them. She has spoken at retreats, seminars and women’s events. Her love of God’s Word has been instrumental in helping others see the powerful impact Scripture can have in our lives.
