Anthony exposes young readers to the importance of carrying the right attitude

2013-09-27

MAITLAND, FL— In her new book, THE REALITY SERIES OF BENJAMIN HALL, Book One: HOW MY MOM’S CAR RUINED MY LIFE ($12.99, paperback, 9781626971745; $6.99, e-book, 9781626971752) Lucy Anthony sets an example of how to view material possessions—that it’s not okay to let a house, a car or even clothes define a person or his or her family. She warns, “Your own attitude about those things can hinder or help you in your friendship and family relationships.” This book is the first of the ‘Benjamin Hall’ three-part series.

“Finances are a necessary part of life,” states the author. “When parents want and need to be wise with household funds, it might mean having less than other families around you and that’s okay. I hope my young readers will learn that material possessions do not define you.”

Of her expertise, the author expresses: “I love to write and have been writing stories since I was a young teenager. Even though I have a learning disability, I did not let that keep me from seeing my dream fulfilled. I took journalism classes at Clark College in Vancouver, WA.” Lucy Anthony has four wonderful children, ages twenty-eight, twenty-seven, twenty-three and ten. The author resides in the Pacific Northwest with her young daughter and she is looking forward to the birth of her first grandchild late 2013.
