MAITLAND, FL— In his new book, A Biker-Soldier’s Journey ($13.99, paperback, 9781628390278; $6.99, e-book, 9781628390285) Monty Van Horn communicates to his readers—“ordinary people”—that God uses everyday, ordinary people, even bikers. His hope, in doing so, is that his audience will be motivated and willing to become vessels for God.

“Everyone wonders, at sometime in their life, if they can be used by God,” states the author. “This book is full of real life events of an ordinary person and how God uses him.”

Monty Van Horn is just an ordinary person. He is a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, combat veteran and a pastor. He is also a biker, hunter, mechanic, outdoorsman, a friend, and again, just an ordinary person. Monty’s real life stories comes from either the twelve years he spent in the Army, serving the United States proudly, or the twenty years he continued that support as a defense contractor. Monty also has over thirty years of riding in the wind on various motorcycles. Monty would rather have kept “riding in the wind,” but God called him into the ministry. The way God did that was unusual to say the least.
