MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Sherre Cook’s new book, caffé americano ($16.99, paperback, 9781626979932; $8.99, e-book, 9781626979949) readers will discover a story that follows two unique people on their individual journeys in learning to trust God, relinquishing control and relying on faith. These characters are realistic and relatable, and how they face personal trials will undoubtedly uplift and inspire readers.

“I hope that readers will come to see Christians as real people, with real problems, faults, and weaknesses, but also with a real desire to follow God’s Word,” states the author. When asked what makes her book particularly newsworthy, Cook expressed: “I believe my book takes the traditional Christian romance novel and enhances it with clever and witty dialogue, real-world secular perspectives, and raw emotion, while at the same time offering spiritual insight and applicable truths.”

Sherre Cook was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County. After studying dietetics at Cal State Northridge, she decided on a sales career in the pharmaceutical industry. Cook has always enjoyed writing and making people laugh. Though the author did minimal creative writing in high school and college, she wanted to write a book that would convey a subtle spiritual message and, in some ways, be reflective of her own life experiences.

Xulon Press, a division of Salem Communications, is the world’s largest Christian self-publisher, with more than 8,000 titles published to date. Retailers may order caffé americano through Ingram Book Company and/or Spring Arbor Book Distributors. The book is available online through xulonpress.com/bookstore, amazon.com, and barnesandnoble.com.
