Frederick A. Camplin was born in Wisconsin in 1935 and attended public schools there. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering at the University of Wisconsin and a Masters Degree in engineering management at Bradley University. The author became a serious student of the Bible after the loss of his seventeen-year-old son in a shooting incident in 1983. His studies include Moody Bible Institute off campus courses, Bible Study Fellowship, seminars and adult Sunday school lessons. Camplin adds, “I still consider my credentials for writing on Biblical matters very limited, but I have a strong desire to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ as Christians are commanded to do.”
