Within the pages of his new book, Country Cousins ($10.99, paperback, 9781626977358; $5.99, e-book, 9781626977365) author Charles R. Latimer depicts a childhood full of fun and mischief. This delightful tale is set in days past, when life was much simpler than it is today. Readers will laugh as they journey along with the young protagonist, and see what everyone did before video games existed!

“This book is based on my memories of those precious family visits, and gives a glimpse to the simpler days,” states the author. “Children can have fun playing outside, instead of sitting glued to the TV or electronic games.”

Charles R. Latimer was born in Lohn, Texas, in 1918, and was raised on a farm. His education includes one year at the University of Texas, business courses at San Antonio College and specialized courses at MIT. Latimer spent two years in the Pacific during World War II. He has worked a total of thirty-three years in civil service. Country Cousins brings back childhood memories of the author’s adventures on the farm.
