The author is an adjunct professor, speaker, and writes for a health magazine and newsletter. She has appeared on TV, and has been interviewed on several radio programs. Dr. Thomas has worked with women who have suffered with addictions, grief, loss and domestic violence. She is a widow, whose husband died nearly seven years ago.
