Alaska. It tells the story of the original owners of the beautiful setting of
the camp, and their great desire to see their property used to bring young
people to know and love Christ. Many of the dedicated missionaries and

book.

Echo Ranch Bible Camp began when Allen and Catherine McMurchie—through their contact with Minfield Children’s Home and Gospel Missionary Union missionaries—realized that their homestead could be used as a camp. This early vision began with the first two weeks of camp, in 1964, where the campers slept in the hayloft of the McMurchie barn. The camp continued to grow over the years as God provided dedicated personnel and resources to expand and upgrade the facilities. Over 800 campers from all of Southeast Alaska, attending during ten weeks of summer camp, experience God’s love through a committed staff. In the spring and fall, the camp staff is able to impact even more lives as retreat groups, school classes, and training sessions take place at the camp. A beautiful view, excellent facilities, and a staff that love God and the people of Southeast Alaska are making a difference.
