MAITLAND, FL— Set in a sleepy Tennessee mountain community during the early 1900’s, the new book by Larry Johnson, I Had A Little Dreidel, ($20.99, paperback, 9781629520612; $9.99, e-book, 9781629520629) communicates the central message that God is not hidden if we seek Him. A young Jewish girl, Judith Fredrickson, arrives to this town and brings with her the presence of God. As Judith grows and learns more of the faith of her Christian neighbors, she shares the deep heritage that connects them to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

“As we go through our lives, we forget about God at times, but that does not mean He forgets about us anytime,” states the author. “Just as the dreidel spins, and reminds Jews of miracles long ago, so does Judith, ‘Zivion,’ spin into this Tennessee community to remind them that God is still in the miracle-working business.”

Larry A. Johnson resides in rural Tennessee, with his wife of twenty-six years, Sher. Larry and Sher were part of a Messianic Jewish ministry in Tampa, Florida for over fifteen years. Larry was ordained as a pastor after receiving a Master’s degree for pastoral counseling. He also earned a Master’s degree in theology. Larry has a heart for Israel—the people and the land—as the Chosen People of God, and the apple of His eye.
