MAITLAND, FL— Within her new book, Transforming Austin - A God Story, ($13.99, paperback, 9781629525068; $6.99, e-book, 9781629525075) Thana Rolph shares with readers the riveting transformation in the God-glorifying past, present, and future of Austin, Texas. The author has been a part of history-in-the-making, and she pens her exclusive perspective throughout a quarter of a century of rapid change. In this case, God had nudged men and women who dreamt of a better world, to step into the circumstances of their times. The purpose of this book is encourage the reader to follow his or her heart’s nudge, but at the same time to seek God’s big picture; because it takes all of our strengths and passions to truly represent the heart of Jesus to a city.

“This book truly is a God story,” states the author. “This is an account of how Austin, Texas, has changed from the atheist capital of the world to a leader in city transformation. It walks through the history of one city, but illustrates God’s heart for every city. It encourages each of us to seek our place, and to allow God to show us where it fits in His heart for our city.”

Thana Rolph has been involved in Austin’s prayer movement for twenty-five years, and has participated in several of the historical events mentioned in the book. She has spent nearly three years interviewing ministry, prayer, and church leaders, from three races and across a wide range of Christian streams of belief. Thana has researched Austin history from books and documents, from the Internet, and from talking to the descendants of historical figures. She has served over five years on the staff of Austin Bridge Builders Alliance, a neutral convener that has been at the forefront of transformation in Austin for over a dozen years.
