MAITLAND, FL— The new book by Alan Levett, WILDSHIEN:
Tyranny and Liberation, ($20.99, paperback, 9781498407083; $7.99,
e-book, 9781498407090) describes a young man on a mission
to dethrone a tyrant who had enslaved his people. Having succeeded, he then
discovers the true nature of the One who has been directing him, and commends God
to his people. Overall, the author leads readers on a journey in his fantasy
epic, and will enable them to view God from a fresh perspective.
“I hope that readers will enjoy the many and varied adventures, including the revelation that this is a young man of like passions as is typical of humanity,” states the author. “I hope that they take away from the book a spirit of bravery, commitment to a task, and that it pays to trust God even in difficult circumstances.”
Since his school days, Alan Levett has always been interested in adventure, devouring the writings of Robinson Crusoe, Edgar Rice Burroughs, John Buchan—you name it. His English teacher said she enjoyed his essays. Her comment was that his "vivid imagination and powers of expression make his work really interesting.” The author used to tell stories in the dormitory, which held the attention of the other boys. He continues to write in adulthood, accomplishing five novels of which Wildshien is the first to be published.
