Jameus makes historic run and becomes a much-needed voice for helpless pets

MAITLAND, FL— Michelle Jameus made history by becoming the first woman to successfully run alone across Canada. Through the new book, To Companion Friends, With Love, ($22.99, paperback, 9781498433594; $9.99, e-book, 9781498433600) the author shares the noble cause that fueled her running—the hope of bringing awareness to the overpopulation of cats and dogs, and which solutions exist for this issue. She challenges readers to question the acceptability of pet euthanasia, which is being used regularly to kill healthy (yet unwanted) pets. The text clarifies animal ethics, as well as a biblical standpoint on this matter.

“I hope that readers can feel inspired to have an awareness of altruism while reading this incredible story,” states the author. “Nothing is impossible if you believe and don’t give up. This is an inspiring read that is sure to remind readers that love can create change.”

Michelle Jameus was guilty for the very thing that she ran for. The author had two healthy dogs euthanized, and experienced the consequences of that decision. As a result, Michelle went on a quest to help make a difference in the lives of animals. She has completed a veterinary assistance program so that she could better care for animals. In the process of her education, the author learned about the pet overpopulation problem. She wanted to share her knowledge with others, and also find out what they had to say. Part of her research also included the Bible, which the author notes has a lot to say about animals.
