MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Bev Rasmussen’s
new book, Hope From Above, ($14.99, paperback, 9781498431781; $7.99,
e-book, 9781498431798) readers take a journey through the author’s life – a life that was far from a fairy tale.
She shares her compelling story of how one can overcome any hardship, how as a
child she was spoken to negatively about whom she would become. This is her
story of courage in becoming so much more than anyone ever thought she would
be. Refusing to believe any limitations set before her, Bev speaks of an
unexpected strength in the darkest of situations and shares strength not common
to most, and a will that would not be broken in any circumstance. Not letting
life dictate her happiness or success is part of her story of hope that will
inspire anyone who has experienced a less than perfect childhood.
“My story will prove that no matter what one endures in life, we all have a free will, and a free gift of everlasting life through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ – just for the asking,” states the author. “We just need to except his love.”
As a child, Bev Rasmussen was always told she would never become anything worthwhile. She proved them wrong. She earned a Master’s in Animal Science, doing what she loves best – working with animals in all ways imaginable. Today Bev works at an Animal Hospital as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Despite her education and degrees, Rasmussen credits her overcoming of horrific abuse from a dysfunctional home to the writing of this book. She is a shining example of a victim having "hope" and encourages others to find the strength and will to live, through the power of Jesus Christ.
