MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of R. R. Ford and C. T. Ford’s new book, Rainbow Wings - When No Human Would Help, Heavenly Help Was Sent, ($22.99, paperback, 9781498453899; $34.99, Hardcover, 9781498453905) readers will discover Rachel Rene’s story of abuse. Rachel (R.R. Ford) had to cope with an unbalanced parent and much mental and verbal abuse. With God by their side, this mother (C. T. Ford) and daughter survived four years of beyond stressful living. They are sharing their story to raise the question of why a mentally ill, abusive parent was allowed unsupervised alone time with a child – when the abuse of this child had been repeatedly documented. They are hoping that this form of abuse will be someday addressed and recognized in the family court systems.

“After the anger and heartbreaking emotions settle, I hope the reader has a better understanding of how our children are not protected from all forms of abuse,” states the author. “They are: neglect, physical, sexual and emotional abuse. I want readers to know that with faith and trust in God, one can still overcome and survive even the most intentional cruelty inflicted by another human being.”

R. R. Ford chose to tell her story, with help from her mom, C. T. Ford, hoping it would bring awareness to this over-looked, never-allowed-in-court abuse. Her mom told her that last year, 2.4 million children were reported to CPS for neglect and/or abuse. All of these children could potentially be scarred for life. R.R. Ford knows this because her scars are very much a part of her heart, mind and body. The faith she held onto kept her spirit from completely dying. The compassionate and caring people in her life helped her survive, but it was her heavenly visitor, sent by God, that helped her LIVE!
