MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Reverend Edward E. Menaldino’s new book, Parson To Person, ($25.49, paperback, 9781498449014) readers will discover is a compilation of monthly letters written by the late Reverend Edward Menaldino to his congregation at Calvary Temple in Philadelphia. Rev. Menaldino's words were a source of support and structure for the practical application of Christian morals to a changing and ungodly world.

As a minister and friend to thousands, over his 60-year career as a servant of God, Edward wrote to his congregants, friends, family and colleagues in a practical and comforting way. Through World War II, the free-love era of the 70's, and the roaring 90's, Edward watched his flock face the problems of an ever-changing and ungodly world. Day to day he ministered to individuals as they confronted their own personal problems. Addressing issues that were brought to him in private and often viewed in public, Edward devoted time, not only to preaching from the pulpit, but also penning a personal letter to his flock.  The address was personal, but the message universal. These short letters helped many deal with the moral and practical problems of daily life in a Christian way.

As Edward witnessed and believed, life will change, but God will remain constant. And while Edward used these letters to help guide his flock, he always emphasized and encouraged his congregants, friends and family, to read Bible passages themselves, directly. Summarized well in a dedication he and his wife wrote in the New Testament they gave to their grandson, "Neglect anything else if you must, but not the teachings of this book." His family hopes these accessible and practical letters serve as a guidepost in your own Christian journey and life. Reverend Menaldino passed away in 2012 at the age of 85.
