MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Dr. John A. Gross’s new book, Communicate! - Talking and Staying Close with Youth in Today's Culture, ($16.49, paperback, 9781498441957; $26.49, hardcover, 9781498441964) parents, pastors, coaches and teachers will gain an understanding of the crisis in the culture of today’s youth and learn techniques and tools for better communication with that generation. This book is for anyone who has ever heard a teenager say, “I don’t want to talk about it” … “you just don’t understand” … or,  “not now, later.” Dr. Gross knows that the best and proper way to communicate with today’s youth is to include the principles of God’s Word. He believes that adults are not communicating the message that produces values and principles because they lack the skills needed to communicate these principles. This book provides the principles of communication that will empower youth to gain character, stability, and consistency for their future years. Throughout this book, issues are developed which address this topic. The methods and techniques discussed can be effectively used by youth leaders – along with information to help better deal with the principle concern in communicating – and retaining today’s youth for tomorrow’s church.

My book brings clarity and practical solutions in communicating with today’s youth culture,” states the author. “We must not only ‘tell our youth how to live’ but also ‘show them how to live’ by being an example.”
