MAITLAND, FL— Matthew Glen Jones’s new book, MOONPIE IN KNOX COUNTY - Hope in the Midst of Chaos, ($25.49, paperback, 9781498437271; $36.49, hardcover, 9781498437288; $9.99, e-book, 9781498437295) shares the author’s victories and defeats in a lifetime of spiritual warfare as a street preacher, college counselor and businessman. Readers will enjoy 3 inspiring parts of his book: Hope in the Midst of Chaos … The Play: Three Days in Hell … and Heart Speak: Poetry and Prose. Born and raised in Knox County, Indiana, he repeatedly faced violence. As a young teen, Matthew heard the voice of the Lord, and turned from a path of destruction. He experienced miracles as a Jesus freak on the ghetto streets of Chicago and East St. Louis. As a Full Gospel Businessman, he administered the power of God in the midst of great hardships and demonic attacks. Eventually, Matthew, battle-worn and weary, retired from active duty and survived to tell the story. Also included in the book is “Three Days in Hell”  – a dramatic play resulting from Matthew’s studies of secular and biblical history – which tells about Christ preaching to captives in Hell. Finally, in a “Heart Speak,” Matthew shares inspiring poetry and prose. This book is a compilation of eye-opening events from the author’s lifetime of spiritual warfare, winning many souls to the Lord in the process. He openly shares with readers the wisdom that the Holy Spirit taught him.

I hope to encourage the growth of the believer in the midst of chaos, and to inspire nonbelievers to understand the purpose Jesus injects into this world,” states the author. “My book represents true transparent emotions and facts that each reader can identify with in some measure and become stronger individuals.”

Being born and raised in Knox County and working as a street preacher presented Matthew Glen Jones with more first person knowledge of crime and corruption than most could ever imagine or acquire. He has been a student of secular and Biblical history for forty-five years and impressively, he has read the entire Bible over 200 times. He has also preached in almost all denominations in America. He served as president of the Jasper, Indiana chapter of FGBMI for 9 years. All of his combined experiences have provided him with much insight into the organized crime of the area, and the hope God gives in this chaos.
