MAITLAND, FL— Bob A. Jackson’s new book, The Westward Wagon Train, ($9.99, paperback, 9781498472944; $4.99, e-book, 9781498472951) takes readers back to the year of 1849 when the Clark family decides to head west to California in search of claiming their good fortune. The trip goes mostly uneventfully until they get to the Colorado Rocky Mountain’s Continental Divide. An angel gives them the unique opportunity to live in two different future years. After selecting their years, they are provided with another opportunity to go back and start living their lives in that year. Comparisons and discussions between those two years are developed in the story. The reader will see just how much in our American society has changed. Readers will be shocked with a surprise ending – even the Clark’s couldn’t believe what they chose to do. Although the story is fiction, many events described in the book were taken directly from the author’s life experiences.

In comparing the two different lifestyle years, hopefully readers will see how far our values and character development have gone downhill,” states the author. “They will see how those negative characteristics have contributed to our nation falling away from Godly principles affecting our entire society.”

Bob A. Jackson lived in Borger, Texas for 20 years beginning in 1950. It was a great time in history when the nation was in no wars, jobs were plentiful, and families were growing by leaps and bounds. Bob hold three different college degrees: A.A. degree from Frank Phillips College, B.S. Industrial Technology Education from West Texas A&M University, and M.S. Guidance and Counseling from Texas A&M University. He became a License Professional Counselor in May 1982 and opened a part-time private practice counseling office specializing in career, adolescent, and drug related counseling. Bob taught “at-risk” students for three years and a high school counselor for twenty-seven years. Bob also studied the Bible and read numerous research papers and reviews. He accepted Christ personally in 1979 and has continued his walk with the Lord. Recently, he asked the Lord to help his development and take a personal walk with the Holy Spirit. He has allowed Bob to take that step further and expand his knowledge of His Word and live in a Holy Spirit filled life. He truly believes that the idea for this book was born from his commitment and walk with the Holy Spirit.
