MAITLAND, FL—Paul Aubin’s new book, Secrets Of The Father, ($14.99, paperback, 9781498453301; $7.99, e-book, 9781498453318) co-written with Samantha Keller, is the author’s true story of being an adopted son trying to find his biological parents. He was given up for adoption when he was just five days old in a small New England town. His adopted family settled in Long Island, New York. He often wondered about the reasons for his adoption, but it wasn’t until a health scare peaked his interest to find his birth parents and identity. Paul’s search continued for several years when he inadvertently stumbled upon an elaborate cover-up in a small New England town – a 1950’s illicit affair, draconian church practices and the ultimate unraveling of a young woman. He never expected to run into so many roadblocks protecting the identity and reputation of his birth father – that turned out to be a well-known public figure. This journey of faith and persistence eventually provided Paul with the answers and identity he was seeking – an experience that has changed him forever. This book is a must have read for adopted children … adoptive parents … or anyone looking for an incredible story to read.

Every adoptee longs to make sense of their own story but uncovering what is intentionally hidden has a cost – for all parties involved,” states the author. “My book is about a search for identity, the aftermath of scandal and the far-reaching impact of adoption.”

Paul Aubin knows what it’s like to have the adoptee antenna out – always looking and searching for someone who is like “me.” He lived, like so many adoptees, with a constant “identity void” –unconsciously living out an abandonment wound and always feeling like a fractured story with no “once upon a time” or a proper beginning. As an adoptee, a pastor, and the hidden child of a clandestine affair – his credentials or “expertise” are simply his testimony and journey to discover his own identity. He believes that his story will encourage others and help them find hope and healing regarding their own search for their beginning.

Co-author Samantha Keller is a talented writer who turned the search for Paul Aubin’s birth parents into an outstanding heartfelt story.
