MAITLAND, FL— Marilyn Rensink’s new book, I’ve Always Been Rich - Pigs To Pastor, ($14.99, paperback, 9781498478571; $23.99, hardcover, 9781498478588; $7.99, e-book, 9781498478595) tells stories from the author’s life growing up on an Iowa farm in the middle of the 1930s’ Great Depression to present. In the ‘30’s, money was scarce, work was hard, and opportunities were few. However, the riches of her family devoted to helping one another and working to make a go of the family farm developed a sense of oneness that overpowered the rigors of work. She credits this to her family’s strong belief in God and wholeheartedly accepting that He had a plan for their life. In her captivating book, she shares the many issues and experiences faced early on in her life – lessons that molded her – and helped her to make important decisions later in life. She wants all readers to know that God loves unconditionally because she has experienced his love firsthand. Her life has been blessed, rich and long and despite everything she has experienced, she has continued to grow in faith and knows the richness of living a life in Him. She reminds readers that God has a different plan for each of his children and it will be revealed if they follow His calling, a plan more exciting than anything they could plan on their own.

Man proposes but God disposes,” states the author. “My experiences of life will encourage the reader to ‘let go’ and follow God. The message is simply stated but more difficult to follow. I pray my examples will be an encouragement. I pray that the reader will be inspired to see beyond the present trials and challenges and walk a path that God has chosen for them. It will be worth it all!”

Marilyn Rensink is an ordained pastor in the Reformed Church of America but she does not represent that particular church when she ministers to people. She has completed three units of clinical pastoral education (CPE) that is the equivalent to 18 credit hours. Her life experiences are diverse, helping her to relate to most of the people that she encounters. Marilyn is not afraid of any sickness, deviant behavior, mental illness or different lifestyle, because she has encountered much of that in her own family. She can go from “pigs to pastor” and feel comfortable in both "worlds".
