MAITLAND, FL— Within the pages of Helen Cadd’s new book, Inconvenient Adventures, ($19.49, paperback, 9781498468763) readers will be inspired and motivated by her personal life story – a journey of learning how powerful having the right attitude can be. She introduces her story best, “When I married Dick Cadd, I married an adventure.” Because her husband wanted them to be a team, he included Helen (and their children) in his life of adventures. They did become a team, spending 33 years in the Philippines. However, Helen’s attitude needed to change, and she candidly admits that it wasn’t easy. As an ordinary mother of five, when Helen chose to let Jesus transform her attitude, it positivity affected her family – and there have been incredible results that have reached many individual lives, and even into nations around the world. She encourages all readers to know that there are many things in life one cannot change, but an attitude is a choice. This is not a book of “Do, Don’t and How To.” It is a compilation of stories in Helen’s life of adventures – and the remarkable results – when, with God’s help, she chose the right attitude.

I want readers to know that the right attitude can turn disaster into an adventure, tragedy into triumph, and disappointment into delight,” states the author. “It can transform the ordinary and even awful experiences into sparkling memories and exciting stories.”

Helen Cadd grew up in Nampa, Idaho, where her father owned a creamery.  Her home was filled with family, friends, love – and of course, ice cream.  When Helen attended Pacific College (now George Fox University), she met the love of her life, Dick Cadd, bass singer in the Four Flats Quartet. After marrying Dick, life became an international adventure. When the quartet disbanded, the couple took a leap of faith and, with their five children, sailed to the Philippines to begin 35 years working as a team.  Helen is currently U.S. Vice President of Sword Productions. She has written two books with her husband, two books on her own, and numerous articles, scripts, devotionals, and newsletters.
