MAITLAND, FL— Eleanor Steele Porath’s new book, REINCARNATED - Athlete to Paraplegic, ($13.99, paperback, 9781498460019; $6.99, e-book, 9781498460026) honors a son who at the age of twenty-two sustained a life changing injury – reincarnating him to a new way of existence, so too his family. Readers will discover an amazing story – one that reveals the intertwining of the author and her son Brian, as they endured the trials of his unexpected life as a paraplegic. According to Eleanor, he did so with determination, humor, and a zest for life – no matter how defeating or sad the circumstances.

Readers get a glimpse into their early years, a foundation leading up to this unexpected and monumental challenge. Eleanor’s goal was to incorporate into herself what his experiences taught her: “Above all, no matter the circumstances, believe in self.” Eleanor’s book is not just a message of hope for those suffering from the unbelievable, but it honors and relates to the Silent Warriors who bite the lip, and hide the heartache of caring for their loved one. Indeed the story has its pathways of sorrow, but also great joys. This is one powerful story no reader will soon forget.

I hope readers find encouragement to endure trials through hope and self-determination,” states the author. “Inspiration to deal with the darkest moments comes by believing in self; through endurance, stubbornness, creativity and humor. I want to offer a supportive message to families experiencing the out-of-ordinary, and Silent Warriors, the caregivers who silently get the job done. A story that will remind them they are not alone and this book is to give them hope.”

Here is what others are saying about this inspiring book:

“I enjoyed a ‘mother’s perspective of a son’s journey. I was enlightened to the overwhelming trials a paralyzed human being encounters daily.” – Laurie McAlpine

“I was there on that day of the ‘Fateful Call’; it was a nightmare. Until I read this book I had no idea how much of a nightmare it continued to be. The honesty of her message will be supportive for families in similar situations – a story each reader will enjoy and learn from.” – Margaret Hildahl
