Yvonne "Cooky" Tavares lives with her husband Rob on the big island of Hawaii. She has had a successful career in Social Work for 20 years – as a parenting educator, Mental Health Care Coordinator, Therapeutic Foster Home Specialist and Trainer. In her experiences, she has witnessed deep-rooted familial and dysfunctional family issues. However, she believes that all the behavior modification techniques, cognitive and drug therapy cannot compare to what the Lord does to heal, transform and save souls. Cooky serves as a leader for Aglow International Ministry which is a Global Movement raising Champions and Warriors for God’s Kingdom. As a Resource and Development Vice-President for the Aglow International Hawaii Area Team, she is an encourager, builder, intercessor and prayer warrior.
