MAITLAND, FL—Trishia Kholodenko’s new book Reckless ($17.99, paperback, 9781498478434; $8.99, E-book, 9781498478441) brings to the forefront issues that plague society, yet are hushed into the shadows. Struggles like rage, suicide, depression, and anxiety take center stage in this faith based discipleship series. Pastor Trish does not shy away from discussing abuses of power, nor even the myriad of symptoms that blur the line between mental illness and spiritual warfare. This book is not for the faith of heart, but will build up even the most doubtful skeptic to see the world through eyes of faith. Pastor Trish heralds a fresh, compelling voice that is seasoned by the urban experience. She presents an alternative approach to discipleship that roots itself time in tested, theologically sound principles. The testimonies included raise voices that must be heard; while the chapter format specifically aims toward individual or small group application. Reckless will challenge you to exchange empty ritual for true religion and supernatural faith.

Kholodenko says, “May this book inspire readers to doubt, because doubting raises questions that only faith can answer. Too often we paste on a smile of superficial religion for the crowd while drowning with sorrows in isolation. Afraid to show weakness or admit failure, the Church grows numb - to pain and struggle, but also to the supernatural. Only when we face our fear do we create space for true healing. Such reckless Faith comes from God alone.”

Trish Kholodenko has nearly two decades of pastoral and church leadership experience in inner city Chicago. She earned an M.Div and MBA from North Park Theological Seminary, where she will candidate for a Doctorate in Urban Ministry in 2017. She currently serves as an independent author and executive consultant. Herself a survivor of trauma and abuse, she offers knowledge from years of recovery work, specifically from counseling former addicts, human trafficking and abuse victims.
