Rivera’s book, Bloodlines Connected ($17.99,

readers will find the true life story of the author’s chronic kidney disease.
Written
for the soon-to-be and dialysis patient for knowledge in reference to Chronic
Kidney Disease (“CKD”), Bloodlines Connected relates a story
about a young healthy boy who confronts the disease at the age of 23. While
different therapies can resolve the issue, he chose a transplant.
“CKD
is the ninth leading cause of death in the world today,” says Rivera. “Even
though no new revolution has come about in the dialysis world since 1989 when
EPO was first available, new discoveries will be known in the early future.”
Bloodlines
Connected is likely to
appeal to those with oncoming CKD and those who are on dialysis or are waiting
for a transplant. Readers will acquire knowledge as to their condition and will
readily know how to deal with their situation.
Alfredo
Rivera was raised in an evangelical family, and chose to serve the Lord. He
graduated from high school with excellence in Spanish (four years), attended
Bible Seminary (four years), and two years at West Coast Christian College. He
actively participates in his local church.
