9781545648490; $22.99, hardcover, 9781545648506; $6.99, ebook, 9781545648513), readers
will find a book of poems and short devotionals to encourage focusing on God
daily.
“As
an old straw hat brought my daddy's memory near, these writings are meant to
bring God's presence close to readers,” says Schiel.
Old
Yellowed Hat’s poems and
devotionals are written in a friendly tone to make it easy for the reader to
feel God's presence and find His strength.
Schiel
knows firsthand the stress of helping run a business, attending college, then
teaching school, all as wife and mother raising four children. She learned that
inner strength and peace of mind come from being in God's presence daily.
Alice
Hein Schiel graduated from Midwest Bible Institute with a degree in Bible and
ministry. She obtained Bachelors and Masters degrees in education from Sam Houston
State University. Her first book, Nora
Mae, a Remarkable, Insignificant Person, won the John E. Weaver Excellent
Reads Award for Non-Fiction.
