Caroleann Rice’s book, The Ladybug and
the Bully Frog ($13.49, paperback,
9781545634998; $6.99, e-book, 9781545635001), is now available.
The
Ladybug and the Bully Frog is a story
about overcoming fear, telling an older person about bullying, and standing up
to a bully while still doing what our Lord commanded us: to love your neighbor
as yourself and to be a witness for God’s love. The main message is that
someone who is not big and powerful can still make a big and powerful
difference with God’s help.
“In recent years the public has become increasingly
conscious of the scope of this problem [of bullying]. The statistics are
alarming. This book addresses children at an age before most of them will have
dealt with bullying, and will instill beforehand an important image about being
brave and standing up to a bully without giving in to hate,” said Rice.
