Author
and pastor Kathleen Kasper offers her commentary on the dawn of time as recorded
in the Bible in Digging Deeper [into Genesis 1-11] ($15.99, paperback, 9781545671641;
$9.99, e-book, 9781545671658). The book
was born from her blog through the Bible, where she recorded her insights.
Kasper contends that three major sins (not one) were
committed in these first chapters of Genesis and that knowledge of them will
help to guide our daily lives.
“My
hope would be for readers to grasp how foundational Genesis 1-11 is for
understanding the narrative of the Bible as a whole,” said Kasper.
Kathleen
Kasper holds a B.A. in Theology from Valparaiso University and a Master of
Divinity from Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago. She has served the Lord
as pastor and teacher in congregations in Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Texas since
1996.
