and author Michael E. Ellis shares highlights from his fifty years of preaching

of the sermons that shaped his career and ministry.
The
messages included in this volume address practical applications for Christian

occasions. Ellis’ sermons are meant to spur
readers into action and a closer relationship with Christ.
“I was inspired by the milestone of preaching fifty
years that I wanted to share some of the messages I preached in the classic
tradition,” said Ellis.
The
Reverend Dr. Michael E. Ellis is a native of Salisbury, North Carolina. Dr.
Ellis is a graduate of Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. He obtained a
Bachelor of Arts in Sociology; and a Master of Divinity Degree from Hood
Theological Seminary, Salisbury, N.C; and the Doctor of Ministry Degree from
Drew University. He served as a pastor in the Western North Carolina
Conference; the Western New York Conference; the Tennessee Conference and the
New England Conference. Dr. Ellis is the Presiding Elder of Greensboro
District/Piedmont Episcopal District; and the chair of the Religious/Liberal
Studies Department at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. Dr. Ellis and his
wife Sharlene have two children and one granddaughter.
