Author
Cecily Watson Kelln shares a story too unique for fiction in Becoming
the Admiral’s Wife: A Dual Memoir of a Called Pair ($22.99, paperback, 9781630502973;
$9.99, e-book, 9781630502980).
Watson
Kelln recounts her tale as a ‘70s hippie with a score of adventures, while at
the same time sharing anecdotes from her husband’s life as a submariner and
Naval officer. After they found one
another, their two stories became intertwined.
“This
memoir is a coming of age story, with love, struggles/divorces; adventures such
as Peace Corps Peru, winter in a tent, and a psychedelic baptism;
single-parenting; dramatic encounters with Jesus (and the Holy Spirit);
Christian ministry; and the added blessing of a Christian husband in middle
age,” said Watson Kelln.
Cecily Watson
Kelln holds a B.A. in English Literature
and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Peru from 1964 to 1966. She has also been a Group Facilitator for Fresh
Start Divorce Recovery Seminars, a Table Leader for Singles Ministry FOCUS
(Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA) and is the co-founder of the Tomball (TX)
Pregnancy Center. She has three
children.
