Mascarenhas knows from experience the daily ups and downs of grieving and adjusting to life without your spouse. Through her writings, she shares the many emotions that bombarded her after her husband’s death. She encourages her readers that they are strong enough to work through this difficult transition.
“Deep within each of us is a strength we do not know we have because we have never been called upon to use it. Whether you are a person of faith or not, you will find the strength to take on challenges and navigate uncharted waters. My faith is what carried me through the troubled waters,” said Mascarenhas.
Cynthia Mascarenhas is a Registered Nurse and Independent Legal Nurse Consultant. She has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Greater Orlando Chapter of Legal Nurse Consultants and on various committees for the American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants. Mascarenhas was widowed on February 4th, 2018 when she lost her husband of 29 years, Franz Mascarenhas, to a sudden heart attack.
