Author Billy Blackwood details the history of his involvement with the Blackwood Brothers Quartet in A Gospel Music Life ($15.49, paperback, 9781631291357; $7.99, e-book, 9781631291340).

Timeless musicians such as Elvis Presley and the Oak Ridge Boys were influenced by this Gospel group, and they continue to inspire today.  This autobiography comes from Billy’s perspective, recounting his experiences in this iconic musical family.

My hope is that readers will be inspired to believe in God and to believe God not only to meet the needs we all have, but to trust Him to guide us and empower us to be and to do what He has created, called and gifted us to be and to do,” said Blackwood.

Billy Blackwood began traveling as a performing artist at ten years old. His dad, James, was an original member of the legendary Blackwood Brothers Quartet. Billy is the current leader/manager of the Blackwood Brothers, performing approximately 120 concerts a year in the U.S., Canada and abroad. Billy and his wife, Cherry, reside in a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee, and have nine children, five grandchildren, and a dog named Lilly.
